The Paper Mama Challenge: Black and White

This one is from the "archives", it's one of my favorite photos of Lucy and BJ, I had already edited it in black and white because I loved the way it gives the photo an overall soft feeling (even though she was grabbing his face and knowing how hard she grabs it was anything but soft;) It is quite precious though, so enjoy!

Fall!

Evidently Lucy thinks fall is....Tasty?! We went out to take some photos in the leaves, I knew she would be interested in them and considering her track record I should have expected this but I wasn't quite prepared for her to keep trying to eat every leaf or piece of bark she could lay her little fingers on!  There were too many good photos to only put up one but the first is my papermama entry and the last I am entering into a new (for me) photo challenge: Aspire Photography, Enjoy!

Happy Accidents...

There's nothing I love more than spontaneous pictures during a photoshoot, when my creative juices start flowing and pictures just...happen.  Probably not a great explanation but here are some pictures from a photoshoot I had this weekend.  All of these were very unplanned "poses".  Their little boy had outgrown his shoes, so he was barefoot but we wanted to get a picture of him doing his assisted standing.  So consequentially we had to have him stand on his parents feet, SO CUTE!!! Yep, gotta love happy accidents:) So here are just a few of the amazing pics from this weekend, I will post more when I'm done editing all of them, I just couldn't help but put some up right now.

Okay, I know it's a bit early but I took these pictures of Lucy yesterday and I just had to share them!  The shirt is one her Nana (My husbands Mom) gave her.  I'm not sure if she'll still fit it by the end of the month with the way this girl grows so I took pics while I could;)

A Sorta Fairytale Photo Challenge: Precious Moments

My two favorite people! This isn't a new photo because when I saw this challenge I knew right away what photo I wanted to enter!  We love to take walks on Sundays, sometimes we just walk and other times we try to picnic at the park or just relax in the great outdoors.  We were doing the latter on this precious Sunday when I took this picture.  I love how Lucy's hair is sticking straight up (it is so her).  All in all this picture embodies one of the many precious moments we've had so far as a family.

The Paper Mama Challenge: Me and Mama

So I THOUGHT this would be a great opportunity to use my tri-pod for the first time, it actually turned out to be a perfect opportunity to find out that my tripod isn't compatible with my camera!  Oh well, I know how to fix it:P But until then I just set the camera on a kitchen stool and tipped it as much as I dared on a book.  I don't have a remote so Lucy and I had to run over to the chair every time,  Lucy thought it was a really fun game! This picture was my favorite of the bunch, although it was hard to pick!

Crazy Amounts of Cuteness!

I would shoot this family again and again!  They are such a beautiful family and their kids were so much fun to work with!  I got a ton of wonderful shots and I wish I could post them all, but alas I can't so here are a few to give you an idea...

The Paper Mama Challenge: Confusion!.?!

I have been trying to encourage Lucy to like being on her tummy.  When we went to the doctor last week for her 6 week check up the doctor said that he was surprised at how well she sat up but he was concerned that she wasn't showing any interest in crawling. So as soon as we got home we started Lucy's tummy time boot camp!  I know that the reason Lucy has gotten so good at sitting up is because she associates it with positive things, such as getting her picture taken.  So I took this picture in my effort to get her to like being on her tummy.  In this picture you can almost see the thought processes running together.  And it worked!  She is so much better and it's only been a week, maybe crawling will be in the sorta near future....?

The Child Children!

No I don't have bad English, this is the Child family:) While I was editing I think Lucy developed a crush on the youngest, she got really excited whenever his picture came up;) This was such a fun shoot to do, such a gorgeous family!!!
