Beautiful Family!

I have to say that when families are beautiful it makes my job a whole lot easier! Good thing that was the case with everyone I had the opportunity to work with last weekend;) No, really, it was, if you don't believe me just watch while I eventually get everyone up here!

Singing in the Rain...

On my first day in Kennewick it was raining pretty bad!  This beautiful couple worked with me and we ended up extending there session into the next day because the resolution wasn't up to my standards:P  I think we were able to revive it though!  They are such a cute couple and I loved working with their lovable Dog!

The Paper Mama Challenge: A Hint of Color

I have been meaning to do this shoot with Lucy for a while now and this challenge was just the excuse I needed! I always say that she reminds me of a Kitty-Cat since she loves to scratch her nails on things and anytime she can get next to a wire she manages to get all kinds of tangled (don't worry, I make sure she doesn't get too wrapped up;).  So here she is with her little ball of yarn, my little Kitty-Cat!

I just happened to take this picture on Sunday, it makes me laugh because Lucy is just like me, she would prefer to be barefoot. I finally got her some shoes because she was just going barefoot all summer and I thought I should start making her look more respectful (as well as make me look less neglectful;). I thought these shoes were so cute and while we were at the park she immediately riggled out of them:) This picture just screams of her free-spirited personality:)

 

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge: Smirk

This challenge immediately made me think of this picture that I took of my niece.  We were doing a photoshoot and the whole time she kept flipping her collar up (or "popping her colla").  It was so cute but her mom didn't want it in any of her formal pictures.  You can tell by her SMIRK in this picture that she was happy to get her way, even if it was just the last couple frames;)

Family Photoshoot!

The first of many this week! These are friends of ours and I hope doing their pictures has semi-prepared me for the massive amount of sessions I have scheduled for this week, 9 to be exact! I am excited to do all of them though!
During the shoot their daughter kept lighting up every picture with her big blue eyes, it was so enchanting!

It's a Beautiful Life Photo Challenge: Little Piece of Heaven

I always think that newborns are so heavenly, I mean really they're as close as it gets! This picture is one I took of my brand new nephew, Henry. I love his clear and truly innocent face, as well as those large glistening eyes! This picture is truly a piece of Heaven...

I was looking for locations in Rexburg when I came upon these really cool tall grasses by the canal, it's a really pretty spot! So Lucy and I did some photos, it was really hard to get her to look at me because she just wanted to play with the vintage sugar canister that was supposed to be decorative in the picture, but she sure was a happy girl that day;)

Two Moms Made a Photo Challenge: Fave Shot!

I love this picture because it is so bright and colorful and has a fun back story.  We were outside in the mountains where I am not used to the extremes in weather so I hadn't thought to bring gloves for Lucy.  The only thing I could think to do: take off my socks and use them for her gloves! So I was sockless and Lucy got my tie-died socks on her hands.  This picture makes me laugh because she is sucking on my socks, they were fairly new on my feet..but still...;)

Kennewick Sep.23rd-25th

Two Moms Made a Photo Challenge: Pets!

The only pets I own personally are goldfish and they are not the best models...
So I dug out this picture that I took of my niece, Louie, holding her older sister's bunny.  His name is Niko and when we did this photoshoot she was insistent that she wanted to take a picture with him.  Mainly because she wanted to do anything to be like her older sister.
She also kept trying to take very "serious" photos to be like her sister.  Her older sister models for a local photographer and those are the kinds of pictures she sees her sister taking.  It was a lot of fun and I think this picture perfectly captures the sweet spunk of this nine year old as well as her love for their bunny and mostly for her older sister...

 

The Paper Mama Photo Challenge: Excitement!

Evidently my husband is not the only one in our household who loves dirty baseball caps, either that or Lucy just REALLY loves being like daddy!
My husband had just come through the door after helping some friends move, this meant he was in his grungy clothes.  Right as he came in the door Lucy lit up as she usually does.  He took his hat off of his head put it on hers and kissed her on the cheek.  This is the face that proceeded as she continued to look adoringly at him for the rest of the evening.
This was such a special day and this picture perfectly captures her feelings of excitement when Daddy comes home!

Photo Challenge: I need your Advice!

I am entering a photo challenge that my friend put together, it's Two Moms Made a Photo Challenge and the theme this week is Pets!  My goldfish aren't very good models so I am digging up some pictures I took of my nieces with their dog and bunny. I just can't decide which one I want to enter so I need your opinions (don't worry Lindsay, I don't expect you to give yours;).  Please tell me which one you think would be the best!
